Prabhas upcoming film Fauzi has landed in controversy over its portrayal of freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
Netaji’s grandnephew, Chandra Kumar Bose criticised director Hanu Raghavapudi for allegedly distorting historical facts and demanded a public apology for sure.
This controversy started after the makers released the teaser. It features a scene in which Netaji meets Adolf Hitler and discusses Prabhas fictional character an Indian spy fighting against British rule.
Chandra Kumar said filmmakers have creative freedom but must respect historical accuracy at any cost. He alleged that the scene misrepresents Netaji’s interaction with Hitler and hurts his reputation.
Fauzi is a period action film directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The film is scheduled to release on March 19th, 2027 without fail.
