Chiyaan Vikram asked his son, Dhruv Vikram to start his career as an actor even though the youngster had some doubts before accepting the offer to do the remake of Arjun Reddy. He did play the role twice as first version directed by Bala did not impress the producers and finally, remake released as Adithya Varma. Now, the young actor signed a film with Karthik Subbaraj, who directed Pizza, Jigarthanda, Petta before. The film will have Chiyaan Vikram too playing an important role.
Many thought the film stars Vikram in the lead role and Dhruv in a cameo. But the truth is that Dhruv is the main lead and Vikram will play antagonist in the film. Vikram liked the character and he wants to act with his son also, it seems. Hence, he agreed to star in the film. Shoot of the film will start post the pandemic is over or its effect subsides. In the meantime, Karthik is busy with the post production of his directorial, Jagame Thantiram starring Dhanush.
