The last biggest Sankranthi that Tollywood saw was in 2020, which witnessed the clash of two of the biggest stars in the industry – Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu. While Mahesh’s Sarileru Neekevvaru released a day before Bunny’s Ala Vaikuntapuramlo, it was Bunny’s AVPL which became the bigger hit that season. Ever since then, Mahesh and Bunny’s fans have been trolling each other on social media platforms, especially on Twitter.
Mahesh’s fans grabbed the opportunity this time, calling the collections of Bunny’s film Pushpa: The Rise bloated, and fabricated, after the film got a mixed response from everyone. Bunny’s fans have been making derogatory memes on Mahesh for themselves, which has greatly upset Mahesh’s fans. Naturally, when Mahesh lauded and heaped praises on Bunny and the team of Pushpa, it did not sit well with his fans, who are questioning how their favorite hero could go and appreciate Bunny when they are at war with the actor’s fans.
While it is common for fans of top actors to constantly be at war with each other on social media, it has rarely resulted in a scenario such as this. With Mahesh’s fans upset with their own hero, it is now to be seen what will happen.
