Rana Daggubati lived in the role of Bhalladeva and gave a new definition to evilness and villainism in the film. He showcased his versatility as an actor and performer in that role, and he even showed great physical transformation for that role. Rana bulked up heavily for the role of Bhallaladeva and had to go through an intense physical transformation over five years, for the various films he was a part of.
Post Baahubali, Rana got back to his original size, and due to health problems, the actor turned lean in the last couple of years. Post the necessary treatment and surgeries for his health conditions, Rana has been feeling better, but he continues to sport lean looks to date. Fans haven’t really been a fan of Rana’s lean looks, and want him to go back to sporting a bulky and beefy look.
Rana is about to star in Gunasekhar’s Hiranyakashyapa, in the titular role, and he would have to bulk up to look the part. There’s no clarity over when this project will go on floors, but it is expected that it will begin shooting as soon as Gunasekhar is done with his current film Shaakuntalam, featuring Samantha and Dev Mohan.
