The 2018 blockbuster Geetha Govindam starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna as the lead pair went on to become a solid hit at the box office. Directed by Parasuram, this romantic family drama collected Rs 100 crore gross at the box office. Reputed production house Geetha Arts owned by Allu Arvind produced the film.
Rose to the top of his game with Geetha Govindam, Parasuram later got a lucky opportunity to director Superstar Mahesh Babu for Sarkaru Vaari Paata. Though the film has below-average content, cashing in on Mahesh’s star power, the film ended up as a decent grosser at the ticket windows.
For his next project, Parasuram is supposed to collaborate with Naga Chaitanya for a film. 14 Reels Banner is on board to produce it but there is no official announcement regarding the project, to date.
Meanwhile, the latest we hear is that the team of Geetha Govindam is planning to make a sequel to the film. Reportedly, Parasuram has already begun script work for the film. If everything goes smoothly, an official announcement regarding the sequel to Geetha Govindam is likely to be out soon. Gopi Sundar who gave blissful music for the first installment is expected to score the soundtracks for the sequel as well.
