Esha Gupta, the Miss India International winner had a mixed fortune in films. She debuted in Hindi Cinema with Emraan Hashmi in Jannat2 but her next films did not work at the box office. Her latest release is the National Award winning Rustom movie with Akshay Kumar as an antagonist. She will soon be seen in Telugu – Tamil bilingual, Veedevadu. The young actress hopes she can find some success in South like her counterparts.
The actress interacted with media and said, she liked many stories but her roles in those films did not impress her much so she waited for long before deciding on taking up a bilingual. Veedevadu, titled as Yaar Ivan in Tamil is directed by debutant Satya and the actress believes in the script and conviction of director. She said the director is making it easy for her in understanding the difference in language and hopes to find many more lucrative offers in future.
The actress said she is trying to learn the languages Telugu and Tamil. While she had been waiting for the movie to finally release, she is spending time by watching many Telugu and Tamil, Hindi dubs to get a hold for the kind of performances that people expect and accept in this part of India.
