Esha Deol, a Bollywood actress, has been in the headlines for a while for a variety of reasons. She recently gained notoriety for holding a private screening of the Gadar 2 film, which stars her stepbrother Sunny Deol. Esha was photographed at the occasion with Sunny and Bobby Deol. She and her mother Hema Malini were later seen skipping Gadar 2’s triumph party after skipping Karan Deol’s wedding as well.
In the midst of all of this, she recently made news when she celebrated her short film “Ek Duaa” receiving a special mention at the 69th National Awards in the Non-Feature Films category. She admitted that she now regrets some of her job decisions while talking about the same subject.
Few people are aware that Rima Sen’s role in Vishal Bhardwaj Omkara and Rohit Shetty’s debut Golmaal, which stars Esha Deol as the leading lady “Billo,” was originally intended for Bipasha Basu. Her work in Dhoom and LoC are her most well-known roles. Esha recently discussed regretted passing on films that were great hits in an interview.
Esha Deol told Bollywood Bubble, “I regret passing on Golmaal. If I name all the films that I passed on, people would want to throw a slipper at me. But honestly speaking the people who went on to do those films and those characters have done a fantastic job. I even rejected Omkara. I was asked for the role that Bipasha Basu ended up playing, but she was absolutely… she justified that role. I am glad she did it, she was so good.”
Esha had previously mentioned Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 and how much the Anil Sharma-directed movie meant to him. She had said that when the movie does well at the box office, the whole family is thrilled, and it is well deserved. She had finished by claiming that only Sunny Deol is capable of pulling off what he accomplished in Gadar 2.
