In the latest update on Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra’s alleged Rs. 60 crore fraud case, Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) is planning to send notices to Bipasha Basu, Neha Dhupia, and Balaji Entertainment’s founder Ekta Kapoor.
Earlier, a lookout notice was issued against Shilpa and Raj, and Kundra was called in for questioning. During the probe, Raj reportedly said that Bipasha and Neha were paid a part of the funds as fees.
Investigators have found direct transfers worth nearly Rs. 25 crore to accounts linked with Shilpa, Bipasha, Neha, and Balaji Entertainment. Officials said they want to ask the celebrities about how the money was given and used.
The EOW believes that Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd, the company involved, paid several celebrities to promote the brand.
Raj Kundra has already given a statement and was asked to submit videos made for Best Deal, which police will recheck during the investigation.
