Vijay Sethupathi has teamed up with director Puri Jagannadh for the pan-India action drama Slum Dog: 33 Temple Road.
The film has already created strong buzz with its promotional content. Produced by JB Narayan Rao, Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur, the film also stars Tabu as a powerful cop.
On Puri Jagannadh’s birthday, the makers released an emotional glimpse introducing veteran actress Zarina Wahab as Zubeidaa, the hero’s mother.
The video shows her painful past and struggle for survival. At a railway station, hunger forces her to beg instead of ending her life.
Zarina delivers a strong performance. Samyuktha is the heroine, while Duniya Vijay plays a key role. The film will release across India.
