Elli AvrRam is making her Marathi film debut as the lead in “Ilu Ilu”. The movie, directed by Ajinkya Bapu Phalke and produced by Phalke Films Entertainment features a story and dialogues by Nitin Vijay Supekar. As the title suggests it’s a romantic film set to release in theaters on January 31st 2025.
The teaser was recently unveiled at an event where Elli wowed the audience with a performance on the romantic title song. In Ilu Ilu, Elli plays the lead role of Ms. Pinto the central character of the story.
She has put in great effort to bring the role to life even though she wasn’t familiar with the Marathi language. Elli took on the challenge confidently to explore a new cinematic space.
Talking about her debut Elli said “I love learning new things. After working in Swedish, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada films, this was an exciting chance to connect with Marathi cinema”.
“The character I play is very different from anything I’ve done before. When I first got the offer, I was nervous, but after reading the script, I realized it was the perfect opportunity for a breakthrough, and I said yes”.
