Eesha Rebba, the talented actress, finds herself engaged in a balancing act between OTT projects and theatrical films. However, when asked about her preference, she doesn’t hesitate to admit that the big screen holds a special allure. “Let’s be honest, your phone can never replace the grandeur of the big screen,” she confesses, acknowledging the unique experience it offers.
Nevertheless, Eesha acknowledges the undeniable influence and broader reach of OTT platforms. In a recent interview, Eesha expressed her views on the opportunities available to Telugu-speaking actors in the Tollywood industry. For her, the driving force lies in the role itself, irrespective of the platform or language.
She shared details about her upcoming projects, highlighting her diverse roles, such as portraying a social media influencer in the Telugu film “Mama Mascheendra” and a sub-inspector in an upcoming Tamil film. Eesha considers such varied roles as a dream come true for any actor.
Having worked in Tamil and Malayalam industries, Eesha observed the preference for actors to speak the respective languages. While not passing judgment, she expressed that Tollywood, in comparison, does not seem to consider language fluency as a deal breaker. Eesha questioned why Telugu films should cast actors who don’t speak the language when the audience doesn’t demand it. She emphasized that this perspective applies not only to female leads but to all actors.
