It is well-known that the Telangana government has given permission to hike cinema ticket prices across the state recently. Cashing in on, the distributors and exhibitors across the state went for a dynamic ticket prices.
Reportedly, the pricing for single screens is fixed as Rs 175 and Rs 295 for multiplexes and the same pricing is continuing for small and mid-range films also which is now bringing new headaches for the filmmakers as the theatres are witnessing very low footfalls.
As per the trade analysts, if the same trend continues further then the theatres across Telangana will be facing tough times. Considering the above scenario, will the producers guild step in and reduce the ticket prices atleast for small and medium budget movies? Remains to be seen.
