Actor Srikanth scored the biggest blockbuster of his career, with Pelli Sandadi, in 1996, under the direction of veteran filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao. Srikanth’s son Roshan, has now come up with Pelli SandaD, a spiritual sequel to his father’s original film. The film is directed by Gowri Ronanki, under the supervision of K Raghavendra Rao, and while extensive promotions were done for the film, there weren’t really high expectations for the film.
Pelli SandaD, while arriving with low expectations, has managed to get houseful audiences, who, despite everything, are said to be enjoying the film’s songs, and the way they have been picturised, reminding one of Raghavendra Rao’s peak time as a director. The lead actors, Roshan and Sree Leela, are being praised immensely for their talent, having carried the film on their shoulders entirely.
All in all, Pelli SandaD has managed to be a surprise hit for Dussehra this year, with good collections and a good number of audiences going to watch the film. Here’s wishing all the best for the actors involved in the project, for their future endeavours.
