Festival season is always a big advantage for movies and cashing in on the holidays during the festivals such as Dusshera and Sankranthi many big, medium and small budget films will be aiming for a theatrical release. Amid, the Covid third wave panic circumstances, Telugu films are gearing up for a upcoming Dussehra and Sankranthi festival releases.
As Dussehra festive season is nearing, Tollywood filmmakers are gearing up for a theatrical release of their respective films during this season. As the opening treat, Akhil Akkineni-Pooja Hedge’s Most Eligible Bachelor and Vaishnav Tej-Rakul Preet Singh’s Kondapolam are ready for a theatrical release on October 8th. Already Sharwanand and Siddharth’s Maha Samudram under the direction of Ajay Bhupathi is scheduled for an October 14th release. Even the makers of Kollywood stars Vishal-Arya’s bilingual project, Enemy is gearing up for a Dussehra festive release.
On the other hand, as per the inside reports, Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Seenu’s film, Akhanda is also eyeing at the same festival release. Though an official announcement is yet to come, sources confirm that as Rajamouli’s prestigious project, RRR’s release which is scheduled for October 13th has been postponed further, Akhanda makers are planning to occupy the same release date.
Adding to the above promising projects, close to half a dozen small budget films are planning to hit the screens during Dussehra festive season, say sources.
