The recent murder of a young man in Tirunelveli deeply impacted the community, and director Keerthiswaran revealed that this incident inspired the final line of his film Dude.
Pradeep Ranganathan’s Diwali hit became a box office success, collecting 90+cr, which was officially confirmed at a success meet.
Speaking at the event, Keerthiswaran said, “This is my first victory podium, and I’m truly moved by the fans support. The guidance of Ravi sir, Naveen sir, and Anil sir played a major role. Pradeep Ranganathan has now scored three consecutive hits, everything he touches turns into success”.
He addressed the controversy over certain dialogues, particularly the climax line about honor killing, clarifying that it doesn’t refer to anyone specific. “The Tirunelveli Kavin case left me emotionally affected. That line came from my pain and reflects a real social sentiment,” he explained.
Keerthiswaran also thanked the actors, praising Mamitha, Sarathkumar, and Rohini for their performances and expressed gratitude to the entire team for their efforts.
