Srikanth and Krishna Kumar have been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate for questioning in a money laundering case linked to alleged cocaine trafficking.
According to reports Srikanth will appear on October 27th and Krishna Kumar on October 28th. The ED will record their statements under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) as part of its probe into possible financial connections to the drug case.
The case started after Chennai Police registered an FIR in June for cocaine trafficking.
Both actors were arrested during the investigation but were later granted conditional bail by the Madras High Court in July.
The court noted that no drugs were found with them and that their role appeared minor. The case also involves former AIADMK member T. Prasad who was accused of supplying cocaine to Srikanth and others.
