I don’t think scoring for biopics is difficult – Keeravani

MM Keeravani did dictate terms to Telugu Commercial film music in 90’s and till Annamayya, many star films either had him scoring music or Raj-Koti. But then he couldn’t continue delivering such big hits until SS Rajamouli, his brother, became a director.

Now, even though he doesn’t give music to so many films, he did score for NTR-Kathanayakudu and soon, he will give music to #RRR the biggest multi-starrer of TFI. This is SS Rajamouli’s directorial after Baahubali.

He said, “I don’t think scoring music for a biopic is difficult. I did give an emotional touch to the kind of a dry story with music in NTR. For that Krish had specific plans and I tried to live up to his vision. If you think about it, I did biopics like Annamayya, Sri Ramadasu, Shirdi Sai before and this may not have such devotional elements, but I did approach it the same way.”

About RRR, he did confirm that it is a period drama. “I will start composing for RRR with SS Rajamouli from March and we will have fusion with period and trendy music for sure,” said the composer.
