Don’t just point out the bad – Shriya

Shriya Saran, the actress who saw a resurgence of films in this year with Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Gautamiputra Satakarni and Paisa Vasool is making great steps towards being the most successful senior actress yet again. With Manam, she made a good comeback but Gautamiputra Satakarni had her playing a different character that she hadn’t played yet and that helped her to sign three more films in Telugu.

Vishnu Manchu, praised her for her performance in Gayatri and she also completed shooting for her part in Veera Bhoga Vasantha Rayalu, with Nara Rohit. The actress is also in popular demand for stage shows and she is enjoying all the attention. She said, “I am happy that perseverance is paying rich dividends now. But the negativity about the work we do these days is effecting the balance too. It’s not all glamour as people think it is and we have put up with a lot to look like on that screen too.”

She further said,”The negative elements get more popularity than the positive side and that is effecting everyone. I and actresses did not drink much water during Gautamiputra Satakarni shooting as we had to walk long distances for washrooms and even during Paisa Vasool we had to travel 15 kms. It is okay on normal days but imagine if we are going through menstrual cycle. Can you imagine how much we have to bear. So, by just concentrating on negativity and not showing the positive angle, we are just loosing out on our own dignity and I request people to concentrate on both the sides.”
