DJ will be my best film : Harish Shankar

Duvvada Jagannadam is releasing on 23rd June and the movie has completed the censor formalities too. Now, the movie producer and director are eagerly awaiting to know the response of the audience for their efforts. With reports that Dil Raju has locked in Pooja Hegde and Harish Shankar for another film in his banner, the buzz about the movie in Film circles is at its highest. Harish Shankar has talked exclusively to a media channel and he revealed many things about the movie. Harish revealed that he had maintained an acquaintance with Pooja Hegde for over two years for her to accept his offer immediately after her role in the major Hindi film like Mohenjo-Daro.

He said, “When anchors tried to tease her on stage to sing the Gopikamma song from Mukunda, she sang whole Pallavi and I was impressed by her dedication. It is hard for non Telugu actors to catch the dialogue and meaning, here this girl is singing in a language she doesn’t know I thought. So maintained contact with her after trying to get her to act in my Subrahmanyam for Sale that didn’t happen to her busy schedules. In this movie, I wanted people to see a new pairing and that instantly captures the eyes of audience. I casted Shruthi Hasan for similar reason in my Gabbar Singh and the same logic applies here too.

“Bunny aka Allu Arjun will look his best in this character and belonging to the same community I was unhappy to see Brahmins being used to just ridicule their way of talking and diction but in my movie, I tried to change that and even Allu Arjun accepted for that. He met many pandits tried to polish his diction for days and I used to fear looking at his hard work. He did a great job and his dances in Seeti Maar will be sensational. Also, the story will be entertaining for mass movie lovers with great dose of entertainment and the second half fights will be best in my career. I can say with guarantee that people will be happy with my movie and this is one of the best if not the best movie in my career.

I wanted to find a producer like Dil Raju after a hit like Gabbar Singh and I’m happy that I worked with him not just once but thrice now.”
