The recent release of the second list of Congress candidates in Telangana has stirred up significant disappointment among party leaders, particularly in relation to actor Nithiin’s uncle, Nagesh Reddy. However, Nagesh Reddy’s name was conspicuously absent from the list, causing a stir in political circles. Nagesh Reddy had been eyeing the Nizamabad Rural segment but found himself disappointed when the Congress high command allocated the ticket to former MLC Bhupathi Reddy.
In the wake of this development, he openly expressed his sense of neglect within the party and lamented the lack of recognition and growth in his political career. He also pointed out what he saw as tickets being distributed based on recent lobbying efforts and to newcomers in the party.
A notable aspect of this situation is the support extended by Nithiin, a well-known Tollywood star and Nagesh Reddy’s nephew, who was willing to endorse his uncle’s candidacy if he received a ticket. Despite the setback, Nagesh Reddy expressed his unwavering commitment to remaining within the Congress fold. It is worth noting that there are expectations of a third list that will feature an additional 19 candidates, adding another layer of anticipation and intrigue to the upcoming elections in Telangana.
