Director Atlee’s Tollywood Surprise, A Crazy Project Soon?

Atlee, a star director who began his journey as an assistant to Shankar, gained fame with his debut film ‘Raja Rani’. He quickly rose to stardom by delivering blockbuster hits like ‘Theri’, ‘Bigil’, and ‘Mersal’. Despite facing criticism for lacking originality and facing allegations of content plagiarism, his movies consistently struck gold at the box office.

Venturing into Bollywood, Atlee directed the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Jawan’, a film that crossed the 1000-crore mark. Currently, he’s gearing up for a new role as a producer, launching his banner ‘A for Apple Studios’. Atlee revealed plans to produce four films under this banner. The first project in the pipeline is a Hindi remake of his own hit film ‘Theri’, featuring Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh in lead roles.

While specifics about his Telugu and Tamil productions remain undisclosed, speculation is hoped that Atlee will step into Tollywood as a producer soon. There are strong rumors suggesting a potential collaboration between Atlee and Icon Star Allu Arjun. However, there hasn’t been an official confirmation yet.
