Dino Morea Summoned By ED In Mithi River Scam

Dino Morea who is part of the upcoming film Housefull 5, has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the River Mithi Cleaning Scam.

He is expected to appear for questioning next week. This comes just a day after the ED conducted a raid at his Mumbai residence. Morea is known to be close to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray.

This is the first time the ED has officially called him for questioning although he was earlier questioned twice by the Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW), which is also investigating the case.

The scam involves fake payments made for river cleaning work between 2007 and 2021. Authorities believe contracts were fixed to benefit certain companies, causing big financial losses to the BMC.

So far, 13 people, including BMC officials and contractors, have been booked by the EOW.
