Dil Raju’s Remarks Spark Controversy: Clarifies And Apologizes

Dil Raju recently made comments comparing the enthusiasm for films between people in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

While speaking about cultural traditions, he mentioned that Telangana people enjoy “Tella Kallu and Mutton”.

These remarks led to criticism from many Telangana people, including trolling from BRS leaders. Realizing the controversy his words caused, Dil Raju clarified his stance.

At the pre-release event for Sankranthiki Vasthunnam held in his hometown of Nizamabad, he explained that he deeply values Telangana’s Dawaat culture and never intended to offend anyone. He apologized to those who felt hurt and asked not to involve him in political debates.

The film Sankranthiki Vasthunnam is set to release on January 14, 2025.
