Prasanth Neel’s much-anticipated film, “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire,” starring Prabhas, has generated considerable excitement since its announcement. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the trailer release as the team continues to tease them. In a significant development, renowned South Indian producer and distributor Dil Raju has reportedly secured the distribution rights for the Nizam and Uttarandhra regions.
Dil Raju, the driving force behind Sri Venkateswara Creations, a prominent production company, has a strong track record in the Telugu film industry. Rumors suggest that Dil Raju acquired the distribution rights for a staggering sum of Rs 80 crore. This includes Rs 65 crore as a non-refundable advance and Rs 15 crore as a refundable advance.
The Salaar makers are optimistic about the film’s potential to garner approximately Rs 200 crore through the theatrical rights of its Telugu version. In the wake of the Western success of movies like “RRR,” “Baahubali,” and “KGF” franchises, Indian films have been commanding higher rates for overseas rights.
“Salaar” has already kicked off its advance booking in the US to an enthusiastic response, with a reported sale of 8,600 tickets within a mere two days. The film is slated to feature across 643 screenings spanning 222 locations in the United States, reflecting the growing global appeal of Indian cinema.
