Dil Raju the new Chairman of Telangana’s Film Development Corporation (FDC), is actively working to improve the Telugu film industry. He has been regularly meeting with government officials to discuss key issues.
At the trailer launch event of Thammudu, he announced a proposal for a transparent movie collection tracking system, which has already been sent to the Telangana government for approval.
A system like Rentrak has been discussed for years but was never implemented in Tollywood. Though Bollywood tried it, full success wasn’t achieved.
Dil Raju is determined to bring a foolproof and transparent tracking system to Telugu cinema. He also spoke about how fake YouTube views are harming the industry and said he will never spend money on them again.
He stressed the need for all producers to work together to make this system a reality. It would help avoid fake collection posters, fan wars, and simplify audits during income tax raids.
