Natural Star, Nani until last year is a hero who is struggling to find his mojo at the box office. Even though Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy, established him firmly as a star, it was his comeback film after many duds. So, the actor needed to prove that he has a consistent market. For that, he did movies like Gentleman, Nenu Local, and MCA. Nenu Local established that Nani’s movie can hit 30 crore share mark and MCA, released for Christmas holidays, further established that he is a box office star now, with 35.5 to 37.5 share collections.
Now, the actor is coming again with a movie like KrishnaArjuna Yuddham. In this movie, he is playing a dual role as Krishna and Arjuna. How are they connected and what is their story is the important and interesting factor in this movie it seems. Merlapaka Gandhi is directing the movie. Anupama Parameshwaran is acting as one of the leading ladies in the movie.
By establishing himself as the box office star, Nani could now easily say that his market range has increased from 15 crores to 21-22 crores. His Majnu and Ninnu Kori also collected 22 to 25 crores share from the box office. So, Dil Raju, the major producer, and distributor of Telugu Cinema bought the rights to the movie, KrishnaArjuna Yuddham, for 21.5 crores as per the trade reports. The actor’s highest collected movies, MCA and Nenu Local, both have been produced by him. So, it seems like a calculated risk from the master businessman. The movie is looking for a release in April.
