Dil Raju is one of the few producers who have been highly successful in 2017. His next film, MCA starring Nani, Sai Pallavi, Bhoomika Chawla is releasing on 21st of December. The producer and distributor expressed that this movie will definitely click for Christmas holidays. He said, “This year our banner saw hits and blockbusters. As a producer, I am happy to be among the successes. Duvvada Jagannadam gave us never seen profits, Shatamanam Bhavathi won us awards and brought collections too. Similarly, Fidaa, Raja The Great and Nenu Local have been hits too.”
He continued, “Now, with Nani we will complete this year on a high. This movie will be Nani’s biggest hit than Nenu Local as we have holiday advantage too. As a distributor though I faced losses and feared to buy movies too. Well, this is all in the gamble and we are always trying to learn from past mistakes. I am glad to be in this position where I can determine at least my films released date and have a cordial relationship with my main distributors from different regions. I hope producers will understand the distributor problems too and I request them to not report bloated figures going forward. This has been putting pressure on distributors all over the states.”
Coming to the film, MCA and director, Venu Sriram, he said, “Venu wanted to make a new age film with young and new actors over 4 crores budget. His first film, Oh My Friend, became huge because of star cast and therefore, ended with huge craze that did not work in favour of the film. Now, he had a vision and plan for this film. It is not always director’s fault when a film fails and as a producer I am happy to acknowledge that. This time, we made a family entertainer that will hit a cord with fans of the actors and common audience too.” He also confirmed that he is no longer producing Bharateeyudu 2 and has two films in production with a new director and another debutante, Sashi for next year.
