Ilayathalapathy Vijay is a massive name in the Tamil Film Industry, and he enjoys a massive fan base in Tamil Nadu, where his fans treat him like a demi-God. However, the scenario in the Telugu states is an entirely different thing. Vijay has a lesser market in the Telugu states when compared to his other contemporaries like Suriya and Karthi. Vijay’s release this year, Master, didn’t perform that well at the box office here, while it was a blockbuster success in Tamil Nadu.
Now, Vijay is all set to make his debut in Tollywood with Vamshi Paidpally’s film, which is going to be produced by Dil Raju. This film is being made as a bilingual, and the film will go on floors once Vijay wraps up with his current commitments. It was speculated earlier that Dil Raju had offered a huge amount to Vijay, for the film, but the amount wasn’t disclosed. It is now being said that Vijay quoted a whopping amount of Rs. 100 Crores for the film and Dil Raju has very willingly agreed to the amount.
Given that Vijay doesn’t have a huge fan base in the Telugu states, and there’s no guarantee of the film’s business here, and how the Telugu audiences will respond to the film, experts are saying that Dil Raju is doing a great gamble with Vijay’s film, as it could be a major case of a hit and a miss.
