Dil Raju Announces Telangana’s Anti-Piracy Action Plan

The Telangana government is taking serious steps to control film piracy, said Film Development Corporation (FDC) Chairman Dil Raju in a press meet held at the FDC office, Masab Tank.

He was joined by FDC Managing Director Ch. Priyanka. Acting on the Chief Minister’s instructions, several meetings have already been held with the Deputy Chief Minister to address key challenges in the film industry. A detailed action plan is being prepared, and new rules may be introduced if needed.

Dil Raju stated that the FDC will serve as the main agency, and a special committee will be formed with representatives from the Film Chamber Cyber Cell and the Police Department. This team will handle online permissions for film shoots and take strict action against piracy.

Ch. Priyanka added that the issue of accreditation for film journalists is under review and assured that any concerns from the industry will be handled sincerely and promptly.
