Dil Raju had planned ahead and secured Ram Charan’s dates even before the actor completed RRR. Teaming him up with director Shankar seemed like a perfect move after the global success of RRR. Dil Raju hoped Game Changer would be another blockbuster matching or surpassing Rajamouli’s scale.
However, the project ran into trouble. Delays stretched the production to over three years, the budget shot up, and interest costs piled on.
Unfortunately, Game Changer turned out to be a huge flop, leading to major losses for Dil Raju. More than the financial setback, he expressed deep regret for not handling the project more carefully.
He admitted, “I should’ve included everything in the contract. It was my first time working with a big director like Shankar, and I wasn’t cautious”.
While he currently has no projects with top stars like Prabhas, NTR, or Allu Arjun, Dil Raju remains confident about working with them again in the future.
