Anushka Shetty once quit a Karan Johar production because she didn’t like the part that was being offered to her. Some say Prabhas is to blame.
Undoubtedly one of the most prominent and bankable actresses in the South Indian cinema business, Anushka Shetty is currently enjoying the success of her most recent successful movie, “Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty.” The 41-year-old actress made her acting debut in 2005 with Nagarjuna’s Super, and ever since then, her outstanding performances have captivated audiences in a variety of fields.
Films like “Arundhati,” “Vedam,” “Rudhramadevi,” and “Bhaagamathie” are among Anushka’s most well-known works. Anushka, however, received a great deal of praise for her depiction of the enduring character Devasena in the monumental Baahubali film trilogy, which was helmed by S.S. Rajamouli.
Anushka Shetty leads a very low-key existence and hasn’t been in any pan-Indian films since Baahubali. She made a deliberate decision to watch solely Tamil and Telugu films. But did you know that Anushka Shetty was previously courted to be in a Karan Johar movie but turned it down to make her Bollywood debut?
Anushka Shetty reportedly turned down Karan Johar’s offer to cast her in one of his films because she didn’t like the part that was being offered to her. Additionally, it stated that prior to leaving the movie, Anushka had spoken with South Indian actor Prabhas to get his opinion on the situation.
Anushka was interested in being cast in one of Karan’s projects, but she didn’t think the part was right for her. Similar factors led her to reject Tamasha as well. And indeed, there are rumours that she spoke with Prabhas before declining the role in the movie, a source was cited as saying by India Today.
Anushka Shetty was also asked to appear in Ajay Devgn’s Singham and the Golmaal series, but she declined both offers.
Karan Johar tried to contract Prabhas for a Bollywood film in addition to Anushka Shetty, but it didn’t work out since Prabhas allegedly offered an expensive sum for the movie.
