Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been in showbiz for over three decades now. He has delivered numerous blockbusters and also holds the record for the most number of hits in the prestigious 100 crore club. Despite being in the industry for years, Salman remains relevant. Interestingly, his biggest career hit was initially offered to Aamir Khan and Allu Arjun and went on to earn 10 times its budget.
Salman Khan has delivered several hit movies like Tiger Zinda Hai, Kick, and many more. But his greatest hit of all time remains Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which was released in 2015. The film won hearts across the world upon its release and was written by V. Vijayendra Prasad and was produced by Salman Khan, Rockline Venkatesh, and Kabir Khan.
The movie is an emotional journey of a speech-impaired girl child who gets lost in India and Pawan (Salman Khan), a Lord Hanuman devotee. After he learns that the girl belongs to Pakistan, he goes on a risky journey to reunite the child with her parents. Not only fans but critics too were highly impressed by the movie, and it is still counted amongst Salman’s finest movies.
Many don’t know that before Salman Khan was cast in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, the action-comedy film was offered to other actors. As per reports, the film’s director, Kabir Khan, had first approached Aamir Khan, but the star wanted to make certain changes to the script, which the filmmaker did not agree to; hence he rejected the offer. It was then offered to Allu Arjun, who rejected the script because of prior commitments.
Well, the film then finally landed on Khan’s lap, and the rest is history. It opened to massive response and earned a worldwide lifetime collection of ₹922 crore, which is 10 times more than its budget. Bajrangi Bhaijaan also starred Kareena Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Salman Khan will next be seen in AR Murugadoss’s Sikandar. It also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Suniel Shetty, Sharman Joshi, and others in key roles and is scheduled to release on Eid 2025.
