Online leaks of numerous private films and pictures, sometimes with actress lookalikes and occasionally shot with or without their consent, immediately took off like wildfire.

Anushka Shetty, a South Indian actress, was most recently spotted in a viral phoney n*ked video online. Her contentious video clip, which quickly became popular online, shocked her followers. There are claims that the allegedly explicit MMS video is from an adult film.

Another victim of the alleged MMS scam was the actress Radhika Apte. Apparently, n*ked selfies of her taken in a lavatory were shared on WhatsApp. The actor, however, asserted that she was an exact duplicate of herself in the image.
