Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra in Dil Dhadakne Do were almost replaced by Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan as the on-screen siblings.
The cousin’s combo of Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the most well-liked in the business. While each of them has a sizable fan base for their great work, their admirers can’t wait to see them on film as a brother-and-sister team. Fans of the pair almost had the opportunity to see them perform as siblings in Dil Dhadakne Do, but they turned down the offer.
Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor, and Shefali Shah were among the stars who appeared in Dil Dhadakne Do. The film was directed by Zoya Akhtar.
Today marks eight years since the release of Dil Dhadakne Do. Many people’s emotions were moved by the family entertainment film, which had one of 2015’s biggest star casts. Although the film got positive reviews, it is now difficult to picture a different cast performing the roles. This would have been the case, though, if the film’s original star cast had decided to participate.
To play the brother-sister duo Kabir and Ayesha Mehra in the movie, Zoya Akhtar first approached Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Bebo accepted the invitation since she was excited to work with her cousin, but Ranbir was unable to because to scheduling issues. Both of them ultimately decided against portraying the famous brother and sister role that was later done by Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra.
On the other hand, Katrina Kaif was considered for the role of Farah Ali, while Hrithik Roshan was slated to play Sunny Gill. For some reason, the two also declined to be in the film, and Farhan Akhtar and Anushka Sharma were cast in all four roles.
