Did you know Anushka Sharma Was first Offered Janaki’s Role in Adipurush?

After a frantic search for Sita and other actresses as options, Kriti Sanon joined Prabhas’ Adipurush rather later.

Adipurush craze has begun to dominate the box office, but the Hindi-speaking region does not have a strong word-of-mouth campaign for the movie. In fact, the movie starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan has been flatly rejected by atheists and Ram devotees. The Hindu Sena has complained that Om Raut’s masterpiece offends Hindu sensibilities and mocks the Ramayana.

On the strength of their acting skills alone, the actors, especially Sanon, who plays Janaki, have been given all the sympathy they need to continue making such a bizarre movie. Fans have praised the Heropanti actress’ actions since she made the best decision with the script’s shortcomings.

However, did you know that Kriti Sanon wasn’t the first option for the role of Janaki in the movie? While looking for the ideal Sita, Adipurush casting went through a lot. Anushka Sharma, who was taking a sabbatical and later spending time with her newborn Vamika, was first said to be returning from Adipurush.

Anushka took a vacation after Zero, and a rumour said that the actress would return with Adipurush. It was also said that she met with Om Raut and was thrilled to portray Sita alongside Prabhas because she admired his vision. However, nothing happened on this end, and the rumour quickly disappeared.

Anushka Shetty was the next person in queue to play Sita. If Raut had also chosen the original Baahubali cast for his movie, it would have been a casting coup. It would have been difficult for Om Raut to draw new inspiration from their much-hyped relationship, thus it would have been a disastrous idea. Soon after, Anushka Shetty’s name was removed from the speculations, which were then focused on another actress.

Keerthy Suresh, who played Keerthy in the movie Mahanati, was asked to play Janaki opposite Prabhas. Even so, she was prepared to sign on the dotted line after accepting the offer. Even more ideal would have been Keerthy and Prabhas as a couple. However, the actress abruptly cancelled this project to sign a Rajinikanth movie! She might have made her Bollywood debut with Adipurush.

Keerthy Suresh has a busy schedule at work, working with Maamannan, Bhola Shankar, Siren, Raghu Thantha, and Revolver Rita. She was set to make her Hindi film debut in Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan, but after numerous delays, she quit the project. Chakda Express, a Jhulan Goswami biopic, is currently being finished by Anushka Sharma. Miss. Shetty, Mr. Polishetty is being filmed by Anushka Shetty.
