Ayushmann Khurrana has traveled far and still has a ways to go before falling asleep. We all recall him from his time with the Roadies back in the day. However, the artist has amassed a sizable body of work over the years and has demonstrated that in Bollywood, independent achievement is still possible. However, his modest success stems from modest origins. The famous person has described how he previously tried to work with Karan Johar but was told by his office that they only work with celebrities and not with people like him.
With the immediately successful film “Vicky Donar,” Khurrana made his Bollywood debut. He became an important player in the game from there. According to a source, the actor wrote a book in 2015 called “Cracking The Code: My Journey In Bollywood” in which he takes us on a vivid journey of how he got to be who he is and everything he had to overcome. Ayushmann Khurrana writes, “Karan gave me the landline number to his office when I met him. I should have taken a hint there and then. But I was so excited! I even planned exactly when I would make the call: sometime around 11:30 am, so he’d be done with breakfast and available to talk. The next day I dialled the number they’d given me. They said Karan wasn’t in office. The day after that I called again. They said he was busy. And finally, my bubble burst when, the subsequent day, they told me bluntly ‘We only work with stars, and can’t work with you.”
Ayushmann Khurrana was given a reality check by this. The best, though, was yet to come for him. When Khurrana’s success became loud enough in 2018, Karan Johar noticed and offered him to appear on his show, “Koffee With Karan.” He called out Johar and Dharma Productions for holding him up all those years ago, being the outspoken person that he is.
