Oh Maha Shivaratri (February 21), Mohan Babu took everyone by surprise when he announced that his son Vishnu Manchu is working on Bhakta Kannappa. He further added that this film will be made on a massive budget of Rs 60 crore. Reportedly, Vishnu has been working on the script for a few years now. However, it looks like there might be a clash between Vishnu Manchu and Prabhas. The original film Bhakta Kannappa, which released in 1976 featured Prabhas’s politician-uncle Krishnam Raju. The devotional film turned out to be a huge success and set new records at the box office.
Reportedly, it was his dream to make Bhakta Kannappa with his nephew Prabhas. Ever since Krishnam Raju aimed to make Bhakta Kannappa with Prabhas, the Saaho actor made the film his own dream project. Now that Vishnu Manchu has announced Bhakta Kannappa as his film, he is quite shocked. Neither Prabhas nor Vishnu Manchu has spoken about the latest controversy yet. It is also unclear when the two actors had a word with each other before the film was announced officially.
