A couple of months back, news came out that noted Bollywood filmmaker Madhu Mantena announced a mythological drama based on epic Ramayana. The film is going to be directed by Dangal fame Nitesh Tiwari and will be shot in 3D format.
News also came out that Madhu Mantena is keen to cast Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Tollywood star Mahesh Babu for the lead roles. As per the Bollywood reports, Madhu Mantena has approached Mahesh to play Lord Ram’s lord, while Hrithik and Deepika are under consideration for Ravana and goddess Sita roles respectively. News also came out that the film will go on the floors in mid-2022 but later media reports came out that Mahesh Babu rejected Madhu Mantena’s offer as he is having a prestigious project with Indian’s top director Rajamouli in the pipeline.
Currently, Mahesh is busy shooting for Sarkaru Vaari Paata and later will be joining the sets of Trivikram’s project from November this year. He will be ready for Rajamouli’s project by mid-2022, confirm sources. On the other hand, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone are also busy with multiple projects in the pipeline.
