After posting good numbers during the first weekend, Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s emotional love drama, Love Story witnessed a considerable drop on the first Monday in twin Telugu states. As per the trade reports, the film has collected a share of Rs 2.52 crore on its fourth day at the domestic box office.
While a section of trade analysts opinion that heavy rainfall in Telugu states due to Gulab Cyclone is the main reason for the drop in the movie collections, a few others predict that lack of repeat value in the film is the prime reason for the drop in the Love Story collections in twin Telugu states. Reportedly, Love Story has collected a distributor share of Rs 1.28 crore from Nizam area, Rs 41 lakh from Ceded, 23 lakh from Uttar Andhra, 15 lakh, 10 lakh, 11 lakh, 14 lakh and 10 lakh respectively from East, West, Guntur, Krishna and Nellore regions on its fourth day. The total gross amount from the twin Telugu states on Monday is Rs 4.10 crore and the share is Rs 2.52 crore.
For four days, Love Story has collected a share of Rs 19.9 crore from Telugu box office. Buzz among the media circles is that after witnessing a drop in the collections, the filmmakers have decided to arrange the film’s success meet today evening in Hyderabad. Naga Chaitanya’s father cum senior hero Nagarjuna and director Sukumar will be gracing the success meet at chief guests. This Sekhar Kammula’s directorial was bankrolled by Narayan Das Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under Sree Venkateshwara Cinemas LLP banner. Pawan CH has composed soundtracks for the film.
