Dia Mirza has spoken about how she balances her career and responsibilities as a mother. In a interview she said her son, Avyaan Azaad Rekhi is her priority after long work for sure.
She also talks to him about the challenges she faces as a working mother. Dia said becoming a parent completely changes one’s priorities.
While she is currently working on several projects, she does not want to take up extremely long workdays. She explained that working for 17–18 hours a day leaves very little time for family.
Dia also shared that she recently told Avyaan that she would be busy for five days. He understood her situation but said he missed her.
Dia believes honest communication helps children understand such situations and strengthens the bond between parents and children.
