The creative and funky maker, Surrender Reddy is set to hit the theatres with his latest flick with Ram Charan Tej, Dhruva this week, 9th December. As the Geeta Arts production team is preparing for a grand release all over the World, wherever Telugu diaspora is present, director of the film spoke to media today. Surrender Reddy started his career with complete action entertainer, Athanokkade, then continued his foray into Telugu films as a commercial director, with Ashok, Kick, Athidi, Oosaravelli, Race Gurram and Kick2. Off all his movies, Race Gurram and Kick were extremely profitable, while others managed to earn Suri a reputation as a Stylish presenter. In his career he had to always prove his metal with every other movie.
Suri shared about his experience saying that he first approached Ram Charan with a different story which was an action entertainer on the lines of Kick, but Charan wanted to do Thani Oruvan remake and he asked Suri, if he would do the movie with him. Suri said that even though he did not want to remake a film, he thought about the chance and took 2 months to prepare the script thoroughly and adapt the Thani Oruvan story to Telugu nativity.
He also expressed his exhaustion with remaking and he said he would not repeat the same going forward. He said he would be more comfortable with a straight story and screenplay, but with Ram Charan’s co-operation, he found it smooth sailing to complete the movie on schedule. The 159 minutes movie would not let you feel the length but will entertain you in every aspect he said. He said he is highly confident about the movie and expressed his wish to see it as a big blockbuster.
