Dharmendra: A Glorious Journey Ends

Dharmendra, one of Bollywood’s most loved actors passed away today at the age of 89 at his home. He was recently treated at Breach Candy Hospital for breathing problems and was kept in the ICU.

Although he recovered and was sent home and his health suddenly became serious again this morning and he breathed his last. He is survived by his wife Hema Malini and his children.

Dharmendra film career lasted six decades starting in 1960 with Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere. He acted in over 300 films produced several movies and became one of the most respected stars in Indian cinema.

He received the Padma Bhushan award in 2012. He was active on social media for only his fans.

His last rites were held today at Pawan Hans crematorium where many top Bollywood celebrities came to pay their final respects.
