Acclaimed Tamil actor-filmmaker duo Dhanush and Karthik Subbaraj’s gangster drama, Jagame Thandhiram has wrapped up its entire shooting formalities long back. The film was supposed to release in the second half of 2020 itself but due to the pandemic, it was stalled.
Earlier, reports also came out that the film will skip its theatrical release and opt for a direct OTT streaming but the makers trashed the news as just speculation. Meanwhile, the latest news is that the film is all set for the direct OTT release on the digital streaming channel Netflix on June 18th. An official confirmation regarding the dame came out in the evening hours of April 27th.
Reportedly, after witnessing the dangerous situations prevailing due to the Corona second wave, the makers have decided to go for a digital release instead of a theatrical outing.
Jagame Thandhiram will have a simultaneous Telugu version streaming on the OTT channel as Jagame Tantram. Young beauty Aishwarya Lekshmi is the female lead in the film. S. Sasikanth is the producer for this thriller.
