The shooting for Bollywood star Akshay Kumar’s film, Atrangi Re was wrapped up last December itself. Being directed by Anand L Rai, the film has Kollywood star Dhanush in a key role. Young beauty Sara Ali Khan is the female lead in the movie.
Earlier this year, the makers even announced that the film will hit the screens on August 6, 2021 but due to the Covid second wave crisis, the film could not make it for a theatrical release on the announced release date. Meanwhile, the latest news is that Atrangi Re is going to skip its theatrical release and opt for a direct to digital release. Reportedly, the filmmakers are in talks with the leading OTT platform Netflix for the same and an official announcement will be out soon.
Being bankrolled by the T-Series banner, Atrangi Re has its music composed by AR Rahman.
