Dhanush has officially signed on to play Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in a new biographical film titled Kalam. The announcement was made at the Cannes Film Festival.
Directed by Om Raut the movie is a tribute to Dr. Kalam, India’s former President and a great scientist known as the “Missile Man of India” for his major contributions to the country missile and space programs.
A symbolic title poster was unveiled at Cannes, showing a black and white image of Dr. Kalam with a missile flying across it, representing his scientific spirit and dreams for India’s future.
The film is being made on a large scale under the banners of Abhishek Agarwal Arts, AK Entertainments and T-Series.
It will be presented by Gulshan Kumar, Tej Narayan Agarwal and T-Series Films. The remaining cast and crew will be announced soon.
