Devyani Dumped From Janatha Garage

It must be pretty unfortunate for actors who get replaced after the shooting starts. As if Anisha Ambrose being dropped from Sardar Gabbar Singh last year, 8 months after she was selected to do the role, now we hear another female actor has been dropped from a high-profile movie midway. The movie is none other than NTR’s upcoming movie, Janatha Garage. Former heroine Devayani, who was roped in to play Mohanlal’s wife’s role, has now reportedly lost out on her part.
The reports say that after the Srimanthudu-hitmaker, Koratala Siva, shot a few scenes with Devayani and superstar Mohanlal, he didn’t like it enough and decided to drop Devyani. Then Koratala Siva went ahead and replaced Devayani with veteran actress Suhasini. The question that arises is how often female actresses, especially the ones who don’t command too much star power, say like Kajal or Rakul Preet, are so easily dumped midway just like a hot cake? Would the filmmakers do the same with a male actor too? I guess only Koratala Siva and his team would have the answer.
