However, in recent years, he has seen a decline as other music directors such as Thaman and Anirudh have grown in popularity. Despite his earlier losses, DSP is making a comeback with a slew of huge projects lined up.
After a break DSP returned to the limelight with notable films like Pushpa 2 and Suriya’s Kanguva. Recently, he scored big by signing three significant films. The first is Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel, a massive pan-India project by Geetha Arts. Then, there’s Sekhar Kammula’s Kubera, featuring Dhanush and Nagarjuna, set to captivate audiences across India.
Adding to his impressive lineup is Ajith’s upcoming project, Good Bad Ugly, announced just yesterday. Alongside these, DSP is also working on Ustaad Bhagat Singh, though its release date remains uncertain. Additionally, he’s composing for Vishal’s Ratnam in the Kollywood industry.
