Devadas starring Nagarjuna and Nani is coming out on 27th September. The team with Sriram the director, Rashmika Mandanna, Akanksha Singh, Nag, Nani and Ashwini Dutt conducted a press meet on Tuesday.
Nagarjuna talked about the movie and explained why he called the director, lazy, “Movie has come out really well. But we saw the movie three days back and that is not the right approach. I would ask all the directors to not plan shoot till two or three days before release. If we don’t see the full final copy till then, we don’t get time for changes.
Producers like Ashwini Dutt will be more than willing to pay extra to make the product better than regret after release. So, I called him lazy but he managed the egoes and screen time for every actor very well.
I am happy that he brought Shamdat Sainudeen on board as they both gave a visual feast. I am looking forward to working with Shamdat again,” concluded Nag.
Director Sriram dismissed the rumors of the remake and said, “This movie cannot be called a copy. We did not take any inspirations and continued to write as original as we can. So, this is a completely original story and not a remake or inspired film.”
Nani talked about his phone addiction and blamed all production crew conspiring and complaining against him to Nag, “Nag sir made this video to rag me and it made me look badly addicted to the phone as Rana, Sumanth, Rakul tagged me and said, we agree.
Swapna and others would have told Nag sir to do so and in making clips, I can also find where Nag sir is carrying his phone and say he is addicted to mobile. This is all a plan to rag me and I am not that addicted to the phone.”
