Devadas holds up very well

Nagarjuna and Nani came together for a multi-starrer, Devadas in the direction of Sriram Adittya. The movie released on 27th September. It acquired a huge amount of buzz prior to release and a positive feedback from public post-release. The movie reached to the targeted audiences well.

Even though few expected the movie to be even better, they have no complaints about the performances of the actors. The movie on National Holiday, 2nd October, got a huge boost in the collections and held well on Wednesday too.

The Morning and Matinee shows recorded a good 65-70% occupancy which is good on a weekday immediately after a huge holiday weekend. The movie collected a share of Rs.23.50 crores in the six days for a Worldwide gross of 35.28 crores.

In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the movie did very well in interiors and mass centers too. It collected a share of Rs. 16.73 crores from just the two states in six days. The movie is looking good to achieve the Rs. 35 crore mark by the end of the second week, before Aravinda Sametha release.
