When asked why her romance with Ranveer Singh endured, Deepika Padukone previously compared Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in an interview.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali created a match made in heaven with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. On the Ram Leela filming sets, they first ran across each other. At the time, Deepika was struggling with sadness and heartbreak. She previously admitted that Ranveer Singh had access to her soul and had nurtured her through everything. Later, they found comfort in one another, surprising fans when they chose to tie the knot.
Cinema buffs are familiar with DP’s past with Ranbir Kapoor. The actress even got an RK tattoo on her neck since she and RK were so much in love. When Ranbir’s photos from a private vacation with a bikini-clad Katrina Kaif went viral, they later had a messy breakup.
Later in life, Deepika Padukone moved on with Ranveer Singh, and fortunately, she discovered her happy place with him. Later, she grew close to Ranbir Kapoor and collaborated with him on the films Tamasha and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The Chhapaak actress made a stunning comparison between her former and her current spouse during one of her interviews. This may have been taken as a jab or sarcastic comparison, but DP made it appropriate.
In an interview with Anupama Chopra, the actress admitted that she likened herself to Ranbir Kapoor and that she and her Tamasha co-star and ex-boyfriend have a lot in common. “Ranbir and I have a similar process, but Ranveer and I have a very different process,” Deepika remarked. I don’t see any process with Ranbir. I’ve never seen him get ready.
But Deepika Padukone’s subsequent remark was both amusing, adorable, and charming. She discussed her husband, actor Ranveer Singh, and explained how ready he is for even the smallest details. The actress from Padmaavat continued, “Ranveer, though, everything changes. He walks to his clothing and fragrances from his car. I sometimes even make jokes with him, but at some point I say this seriously: It’s probably the reason our relationship has survived this long because he changes every six months. I never get bored.
Together, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh appeared in three films: Padmaavat, Bajirao Mastani, and Ram Leela. In 83, DP made a special cameo as Kapil Dev’s wife and even played Ranveer’s on-screen spouse. They were allegedly cast in Bhansali’s upcoming film, Baiju Bawra, and afterwards rumours circulated in B-town gossip alleys about Ranbir Kapoor joining the project, but nothing came to pass.
While Deepika is working on Fighter with Hrithik Roshan and Project K with Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh is preparing for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani. She is also rumoured to play Draupadi in a Madhu Mantena production, although there haven’t been any recent developments on that project.
